Lakeview Country Homes — SEED, Corp. developed Advance Housing, Inc.’s award winning, Lakeview Country Homes for their Sussex County Supportive Living Program. This project was funded through the Special Needs Housing Trust Fund with a match from municipal developer fees. Lakeview Country Homes includes three 3-bedroom single family homes in Sparta, NJ that are for shared living for 9 individuals with special needs.
Through collaboration with the Township of Sparta, these units will assist the Township in meeting their affordable housing obligations and was included in the Township’s Affordable Housing Plan submitted in 2005 to COAH. State Rental Assistance Vouchers were awarded for this project by the Department of Community Affairs.
The support services are provided by Advance Housing, Inc. and will follow a wellness and recovery model in its approach to resident’s needs and services and will be strength and empowerment based in order to foster the development of healthy, independent adults. The County of Sussex awarded service funding for this project.
