DNM – SEED, Corp. developed, in partnership with Monarch Housing Associates, Advance Housing, Inc.’s expansion of their Supportive Living Program in Bergen County. This expansion, which was funded through HUD, consists of 2 single-family homes in Dumont and New Milford for 5 special needs individuals.
The project was purchased with HUD 811 funding to create five new permanent supportive housing beds for disabled very low or low income adults with mental illness.
The support services, provided by Advance Housing, follow a wellness and recovery model in its approach to resident’s needs and services and will be strength and empowerment based in order to foster the development of healthy, independent adults. The Division of Mental Health Services awarded service funding for this project.
